The awards and accolades continue to roll in for the 2013 Ford Fusion. First it was awarded the Gene Ritvo Award for Design and Elegance, then it earned the right be called the most fuel efficient midsize sedan in America and after that it was honored with IIHS Top Safety Pick, with numerous other accommodations coming falling in between.
Most recently, AOL Autos named the 2013 Ford Fusion its 2012 Car of the Year. “…our number-one new car of the year is the 2013 Ford Fusion–boldly redesigned to not only raise the bar from the original Fusion, but to meet the stalwarts of the category… pound for pound and dollar for value for performance, value and quality,” said AOL Autos in its review.
The 2013 Fusion is accomplishing everything and more that Ford hoped it would, and the Michigan automaker believes it will be the first in a long lineup of elite Ford vehicles.
“The new Fusion is part of our plan to offer vehicles with the very best quality, fuel efficiency, safety, smart design and value,” says Alan Mulally, Ford president and CEO. “We are absolutely committed to class-leading fuel efficiency as a reason to buy Ford vehicles, with customers able to choose the fuel-efficient powertrain that best fits their lifestyle.”
