Automakers around the world are adding more safety systems to their vehicles, but Ford is beating them to the punch. The Ford Co-Pilot360™ safety suite features an impressive number of advanced technologies. Best of all, the safety suite will come standard on all models, starting with the 2019 Ford Edge and Fusion.
“Though our vehicles today are safer than ever, drivers tell us they are still stressed about getting in a potential accident,” said Jim Farley, Ford president of Global Markets. “That’s one reason why we’re making these must-have technologies accessible to millions of customers each year.”
Ford Co-Pilot360™ will arrive as a standard feature on the all-new 2019 Ford Edge, including on the high-performance Edge ST variant. It is expected to roll out to every vehicle in the Ford passenger vehicle lineup over time, and Ford expects to make it part of its full commercial vehicle lineup by 2020.
The Ford Co-Pilot360™ safety suite includes innovative technologies like Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Information System, Lane-Keeping System, Rear Backup Camera, and Auto High Beam Lights. By making these advanced technologies standard on most models, Ford continues to raise the bar for the industry and maintains its standing as a leader.
