The all-new V8 engine on the 2020 Ford Super Duty earns the title of best-in-class gas power and torque in the heavy-duty pickup segment. The new Ford Super Duty 7.3-liter V8 engine puts out out 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, making it unsurpassed and unparalleled in its segment.

Because Ford Super Duty drivers spend so much time in harsh environments and towing massive loads, Ford wanted to develop an engine that could last in those conditions, with high-quality parts that don’t degrade easily and handling that doesn’t shy away from the work.

This engine is mounted to a 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift® transmission, also all-new for 2020. Together, the engine and transmission provide long-lasting durability, easy accessibility for maintenance, and of course exceptional power.

The 7.3-liter V8 will be available on the Ford F-250 and F-350, and a modified version will come standard on F-450 chassis cab and several other Super Duty models from Class 2 through the commercial trucks in Class 7. Other engine options on the Super Duty lineup include 6.2-liter gas V8 and a 6.7-liter Power Stroke® diesel V8.

The new V8 engine is designed from top to bottom for superior displacement, temperature, and acceleration, with piston cooling jets, a variable-displacement oil pump, an overhead valve design, and larger main bearings.

The new 2020 Ford Super Duty and its mighty new 7.3-liter V8 will be available at Sanderson Ford later this year. Call or stop in to learn more about how you can get yours.

Ford Warriors in Pink®, a team focused on awareness and support for breast cancer and treatment, is teaming up with GoRide Health™ to bring transportation solutions to breast cancer patients across parts of Michigan and Ohio. The announcement comes just ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which takes place in October.

Many patients don’t have access to transportation to get to their appointments, or they aren’t able to drive themselves to and from the doctor’s office. To help mitigate these worries and offset the costs of public transport and rideshares, GoRide Health™ will provide a free ride to and from the appointment for the patient and a companion in a specially modified Ford Transit van.

Ford Warriors in Pink will fund all trips taken through GoRide Health™, which includes not just doctor’s appointments but also trips to the pharmacy.

Ford Warriors in Pink® has been working with breast cancer patients for 25 years, and the organization recognizes that transportation to treatment is often the biggest barrier for breast cancer patients. Sanderson Ford is proud to represent a brand that has been so committed for so long to finding a cure for breast cancer, and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating survivors, remembering those we’ve lost all too soon, and working to raise awareness this October.

If you’re excited about the upcoming 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty, there’s even more reason to get hyped — the Ford Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Package.

Recently announced by Ford, the Tremor Off-Road Package equips the new Super Duty with several off-road friendly features, including 35-inch-diameter Goodyear® Wrangler Duratrac® tires — the largest tires you’ll find on a heavy-duty truck anywhere — and a 2-inch front-end lift kit that results in best-in-class water fording abilities up to 33 inches.

“A growing number of Super Duty customers use their trucks for more than work. They’re fishing, camping, and towing boats on weekends and they go off-road, so we designed this truck specifically for them — more ground clearance, bigger shocks, bigger tires, and more off-road capability,” said Todd Eckert, Ford truck group marketing manager. “Tremor balances what customers demand in terms of work with what they need in the great outdoors.”

The 2020 Super Duty Tremor also introduces a new Rock-Crawl mode, a Dana® limited-slip front differential, and — for the first time ever in a Super Duty truck — the new Trail Control™ technology originally offered on the F-150 Raptor and Ranger.

The new Ford Super Duty Tremor Off-Road Package will be available later this year when the 2020 F-Series Super Duty hits the showroom at Sanderson Ford.

Future Ford Bronco Hybrid Confirmed

Ford Bronco Hybrid | Glendale, AZMichael Martinez of Automotive News tweeted a thread of updates from the annual Ford shareholder meeting, stating in one tweet that the CEO of Ford, Jim Hackett, “confirms the upcoming Bronco SUV will come in a hybrid variant as Ford focuses on electrifying its lineup.”

The tweet sparked a lot of interest in the automotive community, especially with how little is still known about the Bronco, which is set to debut in 2020 as part of the 2021 model year. Barely any spy shots have circulated so far, and while we know that the 2021 Bronco’s styling will be boxy and retro to echo the original, we don’t know much else.

According to MotorTrend, Ford will invest $11 billion in expanding its hybrid and electric lineup over the next several years, so it’s not a big surprise that the Bronco will be part of that push for greener cars and SUVs.

Details haven’t been released on what the Bronco’s engine options will look like, but industry journalists assume it will have the same four-cylinder turbo and V6 options as other Ford SUVs, and now a hybridized option. The Ford Bronco hybrid powertrain may be the same or similar to the 2.5-liter iVCT Atkinson-style hybrid engine found on the 2020 Ford Escape.

According to Ford, the Focus offers three different body styles: a four-door sedan, a five-door estate/wagon, and a five-door hatchback. Specific changes to the Ford Focus design include a longer hood, more interior space for every passenger, and improved aerodynamics. Ford Fund Hurricane Relief in Puerto Rico Totals $1.2 Million

Ford

At Sanderson Ford, we’re proud to be associated with one of the top brands in the industry. Not only does Ford craft some of the finest cars, trucks, and SUVs on the market, but the company also invests in local communities. In fact, Ford recently expanded disaster relief efforts in Puerto Rico by investing more than $1.2 million in food and community aid.

Even though it’s already 2018, many Puerto Ricans are still recovering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria, which happened late last year. According to Ford, a large portion of the $1.2 million it has invested in aid will go to mobile community centers across the island to provide easier access to food, resources, and services. The company is also donating money to fund educational grants, Transit Connect cargo vans, an F-150, water filters, and over 10,000 new books to replace those ruined by water damage.

“This effort is at the heart of Ford Fund’s mission to provide opportunities and access for people in need,” said Jim Vella, president of the Ford Motor Company Fund. “[It] allows us to expand our ongoing efforts to help rebuild the lives of thousands of Puerto Ricans following Hurricane Maria.”

Considering that Hurricane Maria was the worst natural disaster that Puerto Rico has on record, Ford’s generous initiative for early 2018 will provide the island significant relief as it rebuilds.
