Ford is Set to Unveil the 2015 Ford Focus at Mobile World Congress

While Mobile World Congress is usually the stage for debuting new smartphones and tablets, Ford has decided to take it over and unveil the 2015 Ford Focus.  A little unconventional for one of their best selling sedans, but who are we to question the creative minds of Ford?

And creative is right.  The 2015 Ford Focus has undergone so many changes, both on the inside and out.  The headlights are more prominent on the front end, while the grille now resembles more of the new 2015 Ford Mustang.  Consumers will have their choice of what goes under the hood, with an option being Ford’s 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine, available only on the six-speed manual transmission trim level.

So what’s going to be showing up on the inside?  Well, a new 8-inch display with MyFord Touch for starters.  It will also include SYNC® 2 and an updated AppLink for your smartphone.  The enhanced and updated Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) will also be available.  BLIS will aid you in pulling out of parking spots into traffic or warn you when changing lanes would not be ideal.

Here at Sanderson Ford, we can’t wait for the unveiling of the 2015 Ford Focus.  We know you are probably excited too, but waiting for it can also be a little daunting.  Not a problem!  If you need to get your hands on a Ford Focus now, check out our expansive inventory and all we have to offer!

Introducing the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST

2014 Ford Fiesta ST

Sanderson Lincoln is pleased to announce that the highly-anticipated 2014 Ford Fiesta ST is now available at our Glendale, AZ dealership! This slick, fuel-efficient Fiesta brings to life everything you’re looking for in a sporty little sedan. Its engine not only returns efficiency but also power and handling. The interior is comfortable and spacious with new innovative technologies that make it an ideal 2014 model. Let’s take a closer look.

2014 Ford Fiesta ST

Under the hood of the 2014 Fiesta ST is Ford’s high-performance 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine, rated to return 197 horsepower and 202 lb-ft. of torque. Noting, those are average power ratings of a much larger engine. Ford has managed to perfect the design of their small 1.6-liter engine, incorporating EcoBoost technology for even more power and efficiency. Oh yeah, we forgot to add that the Fiesta ST returns 26 miles per gallon in the city and 35 miles per gallon on the highway. Talk about limiting gas station visits.

Aside from the engine difference, the 2014 ST also features a unique body that sets itself apart from the classic Fiesta. It sits on 17-inch wheels with performance tires with ST-designed cloth sport seats lining the interior. Ford’s al-new 6.5-inch color-coded touch-screen display rests in the middle of the Fiesta S T featuring SNYC® with MyFord Touch®, 3D Navigation and customizable controls.

If we haven’t sold you yet on the fantastic new features of the 2014 Fiesta ST, be sure to swing by Sanderson Ford today and have a look yourself. We promise you won’t be disappointed.

Ford to Release MyFord Touch 2.0

Ford has announced plans to release MyFord Touch 2.0, an updated version of Ford’s popular software that will be seen on select 2013 models.  The new MyFord Touch will aim to improve the technology’s ease of use, and Ford plans to make the software more accessible to owners.

Some of the changes include larger and bolder on-screen fonts, a simplified home screen layout, and 3D buttons that will more clearly resemble physical controls.  On the audio screen, the radio preset buttons will be placed at the bottom of the screen, where they are located on traditional radios.  The navigation screen was also revamped to provide better contrast, clearer map displays, and 3D landmarks.

Ford is also making the touch screen more responsive, stating that it will respond to user input twice as quickly, and has made the voice recognition software more accurate.  Voice recognition will also have simpler commands, and Sirius Game Finder, a new application, will help sports fans find a specific game, by stating a command such as “Find Arizona Cardinals Game.”

In total, 1000 “pages” in the system have been reconfigured.  The software will first be available on the 2013 Ford Escape, Flex, and Taurus before being rolled out as a free upgrade for existing MyFord Touch customers.
