Remember These Baby Safety Tips While Driving During Baby Safety Month

This month marks Baby Safety Month, and though you baby’s safety is clearly a number one priority year-round, we’d like to take this time to remind you of some basic baby safety tips while driving.

  • Booster seats absolutely save lives, with children properly stationed in booster seats 45 percent less likely to be injured in a crash.
  • Be sure to choose a federally approved car safety seat, and follow the instructions carefully.
  • Never carry an infant in your lap while driving, and never place a car seat in the front passenger seat.
  • Always take your baby out of the car with you, never leaving it behind. Especially in warm weather, vehicles can heat up to a deadly temperature very quickly.
  • Whenever possible, drive with an additional passenger who can keep their eye on the baby in the backseat.

Third Ford EcoBoost Challenge Launches in March

When you get behind the wheel, that’s when the magic happens. That’s when passive car shoppers turn into passionate vehicle owners. Sure, the facts and figures play a role in choosing your next vehicle, but when it just feels right to be in the driver’s seat, that’s often the moment that sells the car. That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of the third Ford EcoBoost Challenge next month.

The Challenge will provide current Ford owners and potential consumers with the opportunity to test drive some of the most popular models in the automaker’s lineup. Participants can register for a time slot to experience the all-new Ford Edge and Expedition as well as the Escape, Fusion Hybrid, and Transit Connect Wagon. Even the famed all-new F-150 and Mustang models will be on hand for attendees to take for a spin.

In addition, participants can sign up for lessons in driving a manual vehicle when they register. Among those registered to attend the event, one winner will be chosen to receive a brand new Ford Edge.

“With EcoBoost engines now available across 100 percent of our U.S. light-duty lineup, the EcoBoost Challenge lets consumers experience this innovative technology that helps Ford deliver better fuel economy with a more engaging driving experience than the competition,” said Michele Bartlett, group marketing manager for Ford’s large cars and SUVs. “Not only is the EcoBoost Challenge a lot of fun, but getting people in the driver’s seat is the best way for them to experience the craftsmanship, innovation and performance of the Ford lineup.”

The Challenge will tour 17 cities across the United States, beginning in Miami on March 7th and ending at Phoenix’s WestWorld on May 2nd.

If you don’t want to wait until May, we would love to take you for a drive here at Sanderson Ford.
