The Ford Explorer has long maintained a spot in the hearts and minds of American SUV shoppers, and that spot is getting bigger. The all-new 2020 Ford Explorer has been revealed, and it isn’t just the most stylish Explorer made to date, but with a lineup that now consists of the Explorer Limited Hybrid and ST performance variant, it’s the most versatile.
Nearly everything about the 2020 Ford Explorer has been updated, improved, or enhanced, starting with the performance. A new twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoBoost® V6 makes the new Explorer the most powerful yet, delivering up to 5,600 pounds of towing capacity when properly equipped. With the standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost®, you get 300 horsepower right out of the box and up to 5,300 pounds of max towing capacity when equipped with the available Class IIII Trailer Tow Package.
The 2020 Ford Explorer is also equipped with more standard features than ever. Each model now comes with a convenient power liftgate, an intuitive, 8-inch touch screen with SYNC® 3, and FordPass Connect™ Wi-Fi that can connect up to 10 devices to high-speed internet.
Safety is also standard in the new 2020 Ford Explorer, which is equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite of driver-assist features. This standard package includes Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, a Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, and a Lane-Keeping System.
The 2020 Ford Explorer will be available at Sanderson Ford beginning this summer. Stay tuned for more information closer to launch.
