These two red-hot Ford vehicles came out on top of their respective segments in the 2021 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) Awards™. Ford is now the first automaker to win two awards in the same year since 2014.

“This recognition for Mustang Mach-E and F-150 is validation not only for our brand, but also for our Ford team, which continues to innovate and deliver on its commitment to creating must-have products and services,” said Kumar Galhotra, president, Ford Americas and IMG. “The North American Car, Utility, and Truck of the Year Awards™ are among the most prestigious in the industry and such an honor serves as a capstone achievement for years of hard work for the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 teams.”

The 2021 Ford F-150 wins the title of North American Truck of the Year thanks to a range of incredible updates. The all-new F-150 adds gotta-have-it features like SYNC® 4 infotainment, a built-in Pro Power Onboard™ generator, and comfy available Max Recline Seats. On top of this, it’s simply the strongest and toughest truck out there, offering more max towing and payload than any other pickup in the segment.

One of the most impressive additions to the 2021 Ford F-150 lineup is the PowerBoost® Full Hybrid V6. This incredible hybrid engine isn’t just plenty powerful and exceptionally capable — it also delivers amazing range and best-in-class combined fuel economy.

According to the EPA, the 2021 Ford F-150 4×2 equipped with the 3.5-liter PowerBoost® returns up to 25 combined mpg based on 25 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. That means this truck can cover 750 miles on a single tank of gas.*

But it’s more than just an efficient choice. The new PowerBoost® engine also delivers 430 horsepower — the most of any engine in the 2021 F-150 lineup — and 510 lb-ft of torque — more than any other engine in F-150 history.

That translates to an amazing 12,700 pounds of maximum towing capability** and up to 2,120 pounds of payload.*** And as if that’s not enough, the F-150 PowerBoost® is also standard with the Pro Power Onboard™ generator, which delivers 2.4 kilowatts of power on demand.

“Our team spent months living with and observing truck customers at their homes, on job sites and on the weekends,” said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford chief product platform and operations officer. “Using electrification, we realized we could now give customers something they had long wanted but didn’t think was possible — tremendous power, great fuel economy and all-new capabilities to make their F-150 even more productive.”

2021 Ford F-150 Max Recline Seats | Glendale, AZ | Sanderson Ford

Ford went out of its way to make its all-new 2021 F-150 the best yet by leaps and bounds. One of the many new available features offered in the F-150 is aimed at giving folks who work hard a space to relax before getting back to work. With new available Max Recline Seats, you can turn your 2021 F-150 into a cozy lounge perfect for a short nap.

“The all-new Max Recline Seats in F-150 were inspired by those adjustable beds you see on TV to help make our customers more comfortable while resting in the cab,” said Ben Kulhawik, seat design and release engineer. “Our F-150 customers are constantly on the road or at a jobsite and being able to nab a few minutes of rest really is a boon to daily productivity.”

To make sure the new seats were what truck lovers want, Ford sent its comfort team out into the field to see how they use their pickups on a daily basis. What they found was that people who work on construction sites and in mining use their trucks to knock off for a quick nap on their breaks. And with the new Max Recline Seats, which fold almost completely flat, it’s easier than ever to do in the F-150.

But Ford didn’t stop there in making the 2021 Ford F-150 the best yet. With must-have features like a Pro Power Onboard™ generator and best-in-class towing and payload capabilities, the new F-150 remains the top truck in all the land. And you’ll find it right here at Sanderson Ford in Glendale, Arizona.
