Fall in Phoenix: Fun Local Festivals for You To Visit

Fall in Phoenix

At Sanderson Ford, we love living so close to Phoenix. There’s always a ton to do, and since the weather is perfect in September and October, fall in Phoenix is one of our favorite times of the year. Here are some events this October that you won’t want to miss.

Four Peaks Oktoberfest at Tempe Town Lake

From October 13-15, 2017, head to Tempe Beach Park for the best in German beers, foods, and festivities. Four Peaks Brewery will be serving up some of its German brews, while live music from Whiskey’s Quicker, Jared and the Mill, Lil Jon, and more keep you entertained all weekend long.

Arizona Taco Festival

That same weekend, don’t miss the Arizona Taco Festival from October 14-15, 2017. Take a break from the German grub and head to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick to taste more types of tacos than you knew existed.

Lost Lake Festival

The next weekend is an exciting one for music fans, as the Lost Lake Festival runs from October 20-22, 2017 at Steele Indian School Park. Tickets are $165-$225 for a three-day general admission, but it’s worth the cost as you’ll have the chance to see performers like Chance the Rapper, The Killers, The Pixies, Haim, Ludacris, and more.

Wild West Days

The Wild West Days are coming back to Cave Creek and Sanderson Ford is proud to be a sponsor of the 4-day event.  Wild West Days will take place November 2-4, 2012, with a golf tournament taking place on Tuesday, October 30.

Wild West Days will kick off with a shotgun start at the Wild West Wal-Mart Charity Golf Tournament, which benefits the American Cancer Society and will be held at the Rancho Manana Golf Course. On Friday, November 2, visitors can enjoy Arts & Crafts of the West, The Crown Kings performing, the Miss Wild West Days competition, dance lessons, and bull riding prelims.

On Saturday, the Wild West Days parade will take place, along with the Fire Fighters Chili Challenge, the ACMSA Mounted Shooters Competition, pig races, “Gundown by Sundown” competitions, the Triple R Horse Rescue Auction, and a live performance from Rodney Atkins.  On the final day of festivities, participants can enjoy trick riding and horse demos, the bull riding championship, more “Gundown at Sundown” competitions, and the Wild West Trains End Dinner and Dance, among other activities.

Wild West Days supports several charities, including Triple R Horse Rescue, Horse Rhythm Foundation, the International Rett Syndrome Foundation, and the 100 Club of Arizona.
