KBB.com decided to release the list of the top 10 cars under $25,000 due to the strength of the class and the many options available to car buyers.  The Fusion earned a spot on the list thanks to its stylish design and comfortable ride. The 2013 Ford Fusion Named Best Redesigned Vehicle

2013 Ford FusionThe accolades and accommodations continue to roll in for the 2013 Ford Fusion.  The most recent comes from Kelley Blue Book who named the Ford Fusion the Best Redesigned Vehicle for 2013.

“More than a handful of vehicles made the short list of finalists for this year, but ultimately the 2013 Ford Fusion was named KBB.com’s 2013 Best Redesigned Vehicle with impressive gains in design, technology and fuel economy,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book.

Ford completely redesigned the Fusion for the 2013 model year.  The exterior was masterfully remodeled and has since won awards for its sleek, bold styling.  Ford added several versatile powertrain options to accommodate every driver’s needs.  KBB credited every aspect of the redesign for the 2013 Fusion’s award.

“Outside, the new Fusion is clearly the hottest-looking car in a class with no fewer than 13 other entrants.  The interior is just as striking, and a variety of technological enhancements and choice of five powertrains is just icing on the cake.  Whatever mix of value, power and fuel efficiency you’re looking for in a mid-size sedan, the new Fusion has it,” said Nerad.

Ford Fiesta Named One of the 10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000

Every year, the experts at Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com compile a list for car shoppers that are looking for a fun and exciting car on a tight budget. The “10 Coolest New Cars Under $18,000” recognizes cars that are fun to drive and fun to own. This year, the 2012 Ford Fiesta has earned a spot on this list.

To create the list, Kelley Blue Book first narrowed the options down to vehicles that are available for under $18,000. Then, the experts rated each car based on two main criteria – fun-to-drive and fun-to-own. While subjective, the “cool factor” played the largest part in determining which ten vehicles would be named to the list.

Kbb.com liked the Fiesta’s combination of small size and bold style, namely the aggressive grille, pronounced fenders, sharp lines, and large lamps.  The stylish interior and impressive fuel economy – 38 MPG highway – also stood out to the experts.

2012 Ford Focus is Perfect for Students Heading Back to School

Kelley Blue Book has released its annual “Back to School Cars” selection, naming the top vehicles for students heading back to school. The list names 5 new cars and 5 used cars that are safe and inexpensive.  One of the five new cars to make the list for 2011 is the 2012 Ford Focus.

The experts at KBB.com use a wide variety of factors, including vehicle cost, fuel efficiency, versatility, safety, style, and how fun it is to drive when making the list.  According to the experts, “The 2012 Ford Focus is the kind of car young drivers love: It looks cool on the outside, modern on the inside, handles with more than a hint of sportiness, and offers advanced audio and information technology. Parents of young drivers will appreciate the cost-savings afforded by the Ford’s excellent fuel economy, along with the peace of mind offered by MyKey.”

The MyKey system was one of the Ford Focus’ big selling points.  This technology offers features such as Ford’s Belt-Minder system, which chimes and mutes the audio system until seat belts are buckled, a low fuel warning system that engages when the driving range is reduced to 75 miles, limits on the top speed of the car and volume of the audio system, and removing the ability to turn off certain safety features, such as traction control, park aid, and BLIS, the Blind Spot Information System.

Ford Makes Cool, Affordable Cars

The editors at kbb.com recently released the 2011 edition of the top 10 “Coolest Cars Under $18,000.”  Vehicles are first chosen based on their availability for purchase at $18,000 or less, according to the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price.  Then, all qualifying vehicles are judged on just two factors: fun-to-drive and fun-to-own.  This year, two Ford models made the cut.

The 2012 Focus was noted for its sporty handling, head-turning looks, and an impressive standard equipment list, while also being efficient and affordable.  Voters also liked that for a little bit extra, leather seats, MyFord Touch, and a quick-shifting dual-clutch automatic transmission can be added.

The 2011 Fiesta made the list for the second year in a row.  Features that helped land the Fiesta on the list once again include its European looks, well-crafted interior, nimble handling, and sharp driving dynamics.  But the experts were ultimately sold thanks to the available SYNC infotainment center and remarkable fuel economy.

These days, everyone seems to be looking for a bargain, especially when it comes to cars.  Fortunately, Ford is one of the few automakers to produce vehicles that are fun and exciting, yet affordable.
