Mustang Mach-E Charging Time is Impressive

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E in Phoenix, AZ at Sanderson Ford

When electric cars first started entering the automotive market, some of their biggest downfalls were short ranges, long charging times, and a lack of charging locations. Now, the all-new Mustang Mach-E can conquer all those problems with a long range, quick charging times, and access to the largest electric vehicle charging network.

The 2021 Mustang Mach-E is available with both standard and extended range battery options. When equipped with rear-wheel drive and the extended range battery, the Mustang Mach-E offers an EPA-estimated driving range of 300 miles*, which is more than enough for a week’s worth of driving for many families.

When you do need to charge up, you can use a DC fast charging station to get an estimated 61 miles of range in 10 minutes, on the extended range models. The standard-range battery adds about 46 miles of range with 10 minutes of charging.

When you drive the Mustang Mach-E, you have access to the FordPass™ Charging Network. This includes 13,500 charging stations and nearly 40,000 plugs across North America. With such a wide charging infrastructure and quick charging times, the Mach-E is the ideal choice for travelling cross country in an electric vehicle.

Mark Kaufman, Ford global director, electrification, said, “We’ve made it a priority to make it faster to recharge their Mustang Mach-E, and we’re continuing to work with providers to ensure even more charge points are available through FordPass to make it easier to recharge.”

Since 1964, the Ford Mustang has been turning heads and making hearts pound with its impressive looks and performance. Now, the Mustang lineup is moving into the future with the introduction of an all-new, all-electric Mustang SUV dubbed the Mach-E that will be just as thrilling as its legendary counterpart.

Bill Ford, executive chairman, Ford Motor Company, said, “Today, the Ford Motor Company is proud to unveil a car that strikes like forked lightning all over again [like the Model T]. The all-new, all-electric Mustang Mach-E. It’s fast. It’s fun. It’s freedom. For a new generation of Mustang owners.”

The Mach-E will be powered by an impressive combination of motors and batteries and will be available in standard and extended-range configurations. With an extended-range battery, the Mach-E is expected to have a driving range of over 300 miles. It will also have an estimated output of 332 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque.

You will also be able to choose a special performance version called the GT Performance Edition. This model is expected to have a 0-60 mph time in the mid-3-second range and will have an output of about 459 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque.

With numbers like this, the Mach-E shows that electric cars are no longer slow and boring. Reserve your Mustang Mach-E SUV at Sanderson Ford.
