New Ford Refresh95 Air Filter is a Breath of Fresh Air

2022 Ford F-450 Interior | Sanderson Ford | Glendale, AZ

Ford is offering a new cabin air filter for select 2021 and 2022 vehicles that’ll have you breathing deep and loving it. The new Ford Refresh95 advanced cabin filter reduces microscopic particles in the air so that you can breathe easier.

If you own or are purchasing a Ford Bronco Sport, Escape, Explorer, Mustang Mach-E, or all-new Maverick, you can order the Ford Refresh95 filter through Sanderson Ford. It will eventually become the standard air filter across the Ford lineup, covering the majority of vehicles by 2023.

The Ford Refresh95 is made in America and can trap up to 99 percent of allergens like pollen and dust. It’ll also trap smog and other airborne particles kicked up in stop-and-go traffic. Ford notes that the Ford Refresh95 can remove 95 percent of 2.5-micron-sized particles. This improves the air quality in your cabin and keeps you and your passengers healthier and safer.

You may not give much thought to your vehicle’s air filter, but if you have an allergy that flares up in the spring or summer, the Ford Refresh95 might just be a big help. To learn more about this cool new upgrade and other Ford accessories, contact the team at Sanderson Ford in Glendale, Arizona.

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E First Edition is Already Sold Out

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E | Phoenix, AZ

The Ford Mustang Mach-E all-electric performance SUV may not come out for many more months, but the Mustang Mach-E First Edition is already out of reservation slots. As of December 30 of last year, some models such as the GT and Premium were still available, but that may have changed in the past few weeks.

Ford released a few pieces of data compiled from the Mach-E pre-orders, including that over a quarter of all orders came from buyers in California. There’s a small preference for all-wheel drive over rear-wheel drive — 55 percent of orders are AWD — while the extended range battery is much more popular than the standard range at 80 percent of pre-orders.

Ford first announced the new Mustang Mach-E, the first expansion on the Mustang lineup in its 55-year run, in November of 2019. The Mach-E is designed to deliver the thrilling ride of the Mustang sports car, plus the added utility of an SUV, topped off with all-electric performance that is both exhilarating and environmentally friendly.

Ford estimates that the Mach-E will have an all-electric range of around 300 miles, though EPA testing has not been completed yet. The Mach-E’s engine and electric motor combined will put out 332 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque, and Ford is tweaking the GT Performance Edition for leading acceleration at 0-60 mph in under 4 seconds.

Just because the Mustang Mach-E First Edition is sold out doesn’t mean you can’t get your hands on Ford’s exciting new electric SUV. Call Sanderson Ford and let us know about your interest in the Mach-E!

Ford is Best-Selling Vehicle Brand in America for the 10th Year Running

Ford is Best-Selling Vehicle Brand in America | Phoenix, AZ

For the tenth year in a row, Ford has dominated the American auto industry as the best-selling vehicle brand in America. This year also marks the 43rd year that the Ford F Series has been the best-selling pickup truck in America.

According to a report detailing Ford sales in the last quarter of 2019, Ford truck sales were up over 15 percent from the fourth quarter of 2018, marking the best fourth-quarter truck sales for the brand in nearly 20 years. The Ranger saw its best sales quarter since its 2019 release. In total, Ford sold over 986,000 trucks in 2019.

The fourth quarter of 2019 was fantastic for Ford in plenty of other categories too. Q4 of 2019 was the best quarter for commercial vans since 1978 — that’s over 30 years — and the Expedition and EcoSport both saw significant sales increases over last year. Sales of the Explorer increased a whopping 52.4 percent over the previous quarter, and Mustang sales increased by 20.4 percent.

Ford saw minor drops in SUV sales and a massive drop in car sales, consistent with auto industry trends away from sedans and toward SUVs and trucks. It’s also significant to note that Lincoln, the luxury car division of Ford Motor Company, saw an impressive 30.9 percent increase in SUV sales.

One doesn’t become the best-selling vehicle brand in America for no reason. Visit Sanderson Ford to discover what makes Ford and its cars, SUVs and pickup trucks so great!

Next-Generation Ford Fusion Carries Autonomous Technology

Ford debuted its first modern autonomous prototype three years ago but, despite the time lapse, the design hasn’t changed much. Looks don’t say much when it comes to autonomous technology, though. The American automaker is still shooting to produce autonomous vehicles for ride-sharing services by 2021.

The Detroit-based automaker plans to launch a new set of autonomous prototypes to increase its current fleet from 30 to 90 cars. All models will be based on the Ford Fusion hybrid.

Considering that Ford has largely invested in the autonomous midsize sedan, it wouldn’t be surprising for the next-generation Ford Fusion to be the first model to debut with the advanced technology.

The automaker invested around $75 million into Velodyne and continues to use the Lidar sensors. The sensors are near the A-pillars above the side mirrors. From those spots, the sensors provide a full 360-degree view.

What can easily be mistaken for roof racks carrying skis are actually three cameras that look forward, sideways, and backwards. Those cameras come in addition to the camera behind the windshield that watches for traffic signals and pedestrians. Radar sensors of varying ranges will help keep the vehicle on track in all weather conditions.

We here at Sanderson Ford can’t wait to see what developments continue to come out of the new prototypes!

Peoria, Arizona

Peoria, Arizona is home to a wonderful community that thrives outside of Phoenix. The city boasts a population of more than 154,000 and has a number of interesting things to do and see. The history behind the now-thriving area has a major significance in the area. Paying a visit to Peoria isn’t something many regret, especially after they’ve stopped by one of the local hotspots!

The city’s roots lie with four families who relocated to the area from Peoria, Illinois. The new arrivals were quick to file a plot map, complete with streets. Their efforts brought the Santa, Prescott, and Phoenix Railroad which gave the city’s popularity a boost as a popular stop.

There are dozens of museums oriented around space but the Challenger Space Center offers a unique look at what lies above us. The learning environment is perfect for families and adults alike. Activities include simulated space flight missions where visitors can take on the role of mission control, flight crews, and more.

There are few better places to grab a steak than Firebirds Wood Fired Grille. This premier restaurant is a local favorite due to its friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, and delicious food that brings return visitors time and time again.

We here at Sanderson Ford hope to see you around Peoria sometime soon!
