We may be less than two full weeks into January, but that hasn’t stopped one magazine from already choosing a 2015 Truck of the Year winner. That’s right, the new Ford F-150, with its aluminum frame and all, has been named as the first winner of the Truck Trend Truck of the Year award. Since the new F-150 is in fact the toughest, most powerful version of the F-150 yet (and it boasts even better efficiency than previous models), that isn’t necessarily a surprise.
But it’s still nice for Ford’s hard work to go rewarded. “Ford has found a sweet spot in the half-ton pickup segment, delivering a compelling mix of efficiency and capability, while still delivering an enhanced driving experience that American consumers demand,” said Sean P. Holman, Truck Trend content director. “What we put these trucks through was nothing short of grueling, and it was the F-150 that consistently impressed our experts.”
You might already know all the features of this new truck, but here’s just a quick hits reminder—it is seven hundred pounds lighter than the previous model, helping it boast an impressive array of mpg ratings, especially for a full-size truck. Plus, it’s got extra technologies like a rearview camera and the BoxLink design to push it over the top. Come see us here at Sanderson Ford to learn more.
